Open
Accra Open is the premier open debate championship in West Africa. Established in 2015 by Speech Forces Organization to encourage a culture of critical thinking and expression in Africa, the championship has grown to be the most competitive and one of the biggest on the continent. Some 900 students from 54 universities, representing 20 different countries (including Kenya, Nigeria, South Africa, Uganda, The Gambia, South Sudan, Zimbabwe etc.) have taken part in the past.
The championship is known for its world class organization, quality of debates, and afro-centric networking opportunities for young Africans.
